Good Neighbor Pest Co LLC ("Good Neighbor Pest Co.", "we", "us") provides commercial pest management in New York City and Long Island. This policy explains what information we collect through goodneighborpest.com, by phone, by text message and by email, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, company or building name, role, phone number, email address, service address, borough, facility type, the pests you're seeing, and anything you write in a message. If you apply for a job, we also collect the information in your application and any resume you send.
- Information from our service: visit records, service reports, photos of your site, device maps, treatment records and communications with you. We keep these to deliver our service and because pesticide application records are required by New York State.
- Information collected automatically: like most websites, our site and hosting provider record basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and the time of your visit. We do not use analytics tools on this site.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your inspection request and schedule visits
- To provide, document and bill for our services
- To send you service reports, appointment confirmations and reminders
- To review job applications
- To improve our website and services
- To meet legal, regulatory and insurance requirements
3. Text messages (SMS)
If you check the consent box on our forms or otherwise agree to receive texts, we may text you about your inspection request, appointments and service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also call 332-290-0271 or email hello@gnpestco.com. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of doing business with us.
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except with service providers who send messages on our behalf.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers who help us run our business, such as our website host (Netlify), our field service and billing software, payment processors, and email and messaging providers. They may use it only to provide services to us.
- When required by law, regulation or legal process, including pesticide reporting to New York State.
- To protect the rights, safety and property of our customers, our team or the public.
- In connection with a sale, merger or reorganization of our business, under the same protections.
5. How long we keep it
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and follow up, customer records for as long as you're a customer and as required afterward for legal, tax and regulatory purposes (pesticide application records are kept for at least the period New York State requires), and job applications for up to 2 years.
6. How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, consistent with New York's SHIELD Act. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop contacting you, by emailing hello@gnpestco.com. We'll respond within 30 days. Some records must be kept for legal reasons; we'll tell you if that applies.
8. Children
Our website and services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
9. Links to other sites
Our site may link to other websites, such as LinkedIn, Instagram and Google. Their privacy practices are their own.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We'll post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date.
